Staffordshire, a land-locked county in the English West Midlands includes the impressive southern sprawls of the Peak District, but consists more of a terrain with rounded hills and grit-stone escarpments.
Alton Towers, the county's largest and most famous attraction sees around 2,500,000 visitors flocking to it's rollercoasters and gardens every year.
Birmingham, a short ride is the central urban hub of the area and Britain’s second largest city. It was largely renowned for its numerous factories leading the way in the Industrial Revolution but has taken great steps to change its image with fantastic new architecture and heritage sites. It is also the venue for Motorcycle Live, the largest indoor motorcycle show in the UK and hosted at the NEC in late November every year.
To the south is Warwickshire, which, whilst not quite as scenic as some other counties, boasts many reminders of its esteemed patron, Shakespeare, particularly in Stratford –upon-Avon. A short ride West will see you arriving into the rural countryside of Herefordshire and Shropshire both sharing a border with Wales.
