With a good selection behind the bar, a great menu with quality homemade produce and a relaxed atmosphere it's no wonder this wee inn has built a good reputation for itself with both locals and visitors alike.
Since new ownership in 2013 the Inn has undergone a complete refurbishment with tasteful quirks in every corner. A newly acquired feature is a full scale wooden Harley Davidson which takes pride and place right next to the bar, an impressive site! Iain, a biker with over 35 years experience under his belt, and his partner Fiona understand the needs of motorcyclists and along with their team are more than willing to help in any way they can.
The Leadburn Inn is located on the Peebles Road in the remote Leadburn, just south of Penicuik. This makes it and ideal base for motorcyclists to explore the whole of the South of Scotland, throughout the Borders and over into Dumfries and Galloway. Just hundreds of miles of off the tourist track, scenic, twisty roads.
BOOKING, either for a room or a table to eat with us is made simple through our website: www.theleadburn.com
We stock a wide selection of bottled artisan beers and ciders, wines and spirits as well as juices and non-alcoholic drinks. For the “camra real ale” lover we have several great cask beers. We also have craft keg beers, including our own 1777 Craft Lager, that’s made especially for us!
If it’s your turn to be “chauffeur” then we have 4 beers, 2 ciders and 3 wines that are all booze free! We can always offer you tea or a variety of coffees and a selection of soft drinks and presses.
We have ample parking space for cars and motorcycles. A regular public bus service can transport our guests to and from the heart of Edinburgh, just a 30 minute ride away – perfect if you want to visit the city-centre shops, tourist attractions like the Fantastic Edinburgh Castle or attend shows at the world renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
