Yesterday’s race programme was cut in half, (good decision by the excellent Gary Thompson), thanks to the changing weather pattern. So I used the time to pay my respects to a son of Hawick.

I missed  seeing Steve Hislop ride the Mountain Course and would have loved to have witnessed his epic battles with Foggy first hand.
