Glencoe (A82) – MotoGoLoco Classics

12th November 2014 by  in MotoGoLoco Classic Motorcycle Routes

Arguably one of the most stunningly beautiful landscapes through which to ride a motorcycle.

Glencoe A82

Jawdropping mountain scenery as you wind and twist through the glens between Crianlarich and Fort William.

The views across Loch Leven as you pass through Ballachullish are worth slowing down for, as is the sea loch on the approach to Fort William. There’s an unmistakeably sense of eeriness in the air as you roll through the Glencoe itself, and past the site of the infamous massacre. Keep your wits about you, it’s not uncommon for car driving tourists to slam on the anchors for an impromptu photo stop (or veer off the road completely, distracted by the views!)

Top Tip – check out the Kinlochleven Loop on your way past – quite possibly the finest 14 mile detour in existence.
